Nigel Pearson has made highly-rated Cambridge defender Michael Morrison his first signing since taking over as Leicester manager. The Foxes have paid the Blue Square Premier outfit an undisclosed fee for the 20-year-old centre-back, who has signed a two-year deal at the Walkers Stadium.
Pearson told the club's official website: "Michael is a young, promising player and I am delighted to have him on board.
"He's played over 100 games for Cambridge, which at just 20 years of age is some achievement. He comes with some outstanding recommendations and I'm looking forward to working with him."
Morrison was promoted from Cambridge's youth team to make his first-team debut at the age of 17 and turned out for the reserves when he was just 15.
