Preston striker Chris Brown is raring to go ahead of the new campaign after reporting back for pre-season training.Brown emerged as a key figure for the Lilywhites during the second half of last season following his arrival from Norwich in January.

He scored five goals and his presence up front helped to breath life into Preston's faltering campaign.

Brown told the club's official website: "It's good to come back and I can't wait for the games to come thick and fast.

"Everyone has come in buzzing, they are pleased to see each other.

"The team spirit has been excellent since I've come here and I think everyone just wants the season to start because I think we showed towards the end of last season that we are a good side."
