This is clearly not an isolated incident, Joey Barton is a bully and a coward (@#$%), this thug is obviously not very intelligent, maybe its in his genes. It's embarrassing for every decent individual that he has not been jailed but as usual the Judges don't use their common sense. This was a missed opportunity by the judicial system to send out a strong message to want a be thugs, do it and you get along jail sentence, no matter how clever your solicitor is! He should also have been heavily fined in accordance to what he earns. Dabo and the rest of his victims should also have been hugely compensated for what they have gone through. Why can an untrained every day person like me see this but other people in power can't.
No wonder there are people around like Barton, they virtually get away with all their crimes scott free!

As for Newcastle its important they get this decision right maybe the F.A should be involved to compensate the club also Newcastle should be allowed to sue Barton. Basically sack him and sue him for every penny he's got!!!

Not wishing to excuse Barton - but the fighting at work occured whilst he was a Man City player - they didn't sack him, they sold him. Now you can accuse NUFC of naivety, but any accusations of "lack of ethics" re the Dabo case should be pointed at Man City.

I agree that Newcastle should sack this scumbag but they also need to make sure there won't be a repeat of the Adrian Mutu fiasco. The FA, UEFA and FIFA must all support the action and make sure Barton does not play football again for a considerable amount of time.
