FOOTBALL 2007-2008 Bundesliga Rostock-Bayern Toni - 0

Matches scheduled for Wednesday February 13th unless stated.

Bayern Munich (to face Aberdeen)

Hansa Rostock 1-2 Bayern Munich

Leaders Bayern Munch kicked off the second half of the Bundesliga season with a 2-1 win at struggling Hansa Rostock.

Franck Ribery and Luca Toni put the UEFA Cup favourites 2-0 up before half time, with only Enrico Kern replying for Rostock in the second half. Werder Bremen's loss against Bochum means Bayern are now three points clear at the top of the table.

Atletico Madrid (to face Bolton)

Atletico Madrid 1-1 Murcia

Atleti continue their customary mid-season slide down the table with a 1-1 draw at home to Murcia.

Fabiano Eller fouled Ivan Alonso in the area early in the second half, and Jofre duly despatched the penalty to give Murcia the lead, before Luis Garcia unleashed a trademark long-distance strike nine minutes later to grab a share of the points.

Panathinaikos (to face Rangers)

Panathinaikos 2-0 Tripolis

Panathinaikos leapt two places to the top of the Super League after AEK Athens and Olympiacos could only draw.

Second half goals from Dame N'Doye and Dimitrios Salpigidis against Tripolis sent their side to the top of the table with 43 points.

Slavia Prague (to face Tottenham on Thursday February 14th)

Slavia remain five points clear at the top of the Gambrinus Liga, as domestic football does not resume until February 16th.

The league leaders have made five signings in the January transfer window, including Macedonian striker Goce Toleski and midfielders Marik Jarolim and Jaroslav Cerny.

SK Brann (to face Everton)

Brann will not begin their new domestic league campaign until the end of March, giving Everton the theoretical advantage of added match fitness when the two sides meet.

The reigning Tippeligaen champions have an extra incentive to beat the Premier League high-flyers; Should they knock Everton out of the competition, and Rosenborg triumph over Fiorentina, then the two sides will meet in an all-Norwegian tie in the last 16.
