Businessman Peter Cullum has spoken of his surprise over Norwich's reluctance to discuss his £20million offer to buy the club. The 57-year-old Norfolk-born executive chairman of the award-winning Towergate Partnership, ranked in the top 40 of Britain's rich list, admitted he made an informal offer in October last year but despite talks breaking down, Cullum has stressed the bid still stands.
Norwich responded by telling the billionaire businessman it will cost £56million to take over at Carrow Road.
But Cullum said in a statement: "I'm surprised and at a loss as to why the Norwich City board has not accepted my offer to sit down with them next week to progress this matter further. My offer of investment was focused on buying new players to give Norwich City a fighting chance of returning to the Premiership.
"This was a potential lifeline for the club coupled with a great opportunity to be a contender for next season. The alternative is the prospect of another season fighting against relegation to League One.
"With the new season just around the corner, it's vitally important we conclude this matter soon for the sake of the manager and fans who deserve better in general."

Whilst I have always wanted to get a foothold back in the premiership through graft rather than a blank cheque book. I cannot understand the board's refusal to even to talk to Cullum.
This appears to be an incredibly selfish-nay-stupid decision. Cullum's proposals may ultimately not suit the club's interests, but they obviously do need to be discussed between all parties
Lets be avin you? give us a break and let the money in its obvious the present board cant give us what we want.A premiership team and to do that we need the lol and we need it now.
