Huddersfield boss Stan Ternent has continued his summer rebuilding programme by tempting experienced defender Chris Lucketti back to the club. The 36-year old centre-back has been granted a free transfer from Championship outfit Sheffield United and has signed a two-year deal with the Terriers.
Rochdale-born Lucketti linked up with Ternent at Bury, where he was club captain, before joining Huddersfield in 1999.
He made 76 appearances before moving to Championship side Preston at the start of the 2001/02 season for a fee of £750,000.
Lucketti becomes Ternent's fourth new signing of the summer, following fellow defender Andy Butler, striker Keigan Parker and midfielder Jim Goodwin.
