Hull KR have given utility player Chaz I'Anson a new contract for 2009.

The 21-year-old former Leeds junior made his debut against Huddersfield in the last match of last season and is set to make his sixth appearance of 2008 against Castleford on Sunday.

"Chaz has definitely benefited from training and playing alongside the senior players in the side," said Rovers coach Justin Morgan.

"His enthusiastic approach and thirst to learn demonstrates professionalism beyond his years.

"Chaz has improved as a player this season and is certainly pushing for a regular first team spot every week."
