Second time lucky for Beuzelin

Thu 05 Jun, 04:30 PM

Coventry's new signing Guillaume Beuzelin has revealed he could have become a Sky Blues player after a trial four years ago.The French midfielder moved to the Ricoh Arena on a free transfer from Hibernian this week, but had a trial with City at the end of the 2003/04 season prior to signing for the Scottish side.

"I was on trial with Coventry when Eric Black was manager, he then left and nothing happened but I am very happy to be here now," Beuzelin told the club's official website.

The 29-year-old believes the four years he spent north of the border will prove beneficial in the Championship.

He added: "I enjoyed my time in Scotland, I won the Scottish Cup and played in the UEFA Cup and this is the next step in my career.

"I played in front of crowds of 60 or 70,000 when we played against Rangers and Celtic and I can't wait to play for Coventry and show the fans what I can do on the pitch."
