Promising Rotherham youngster Mark Oxley has joined Premier League side Hull City ahead of the new season which kicks off next weekend. The 18-year-old goalkeeper, who is an England youth international, has joined the Tigers for an initial fee of £150,000 which will increase depending on appearance levels and possible future international call-ups.
Millers boss Mark Robins believes the club have got a great deal for Oxley, who never made a first-team appearance for the Millers.
"We have looked at the offer and feel it is a very good deal for the club," said Robins.
"If Mark continues to progress it will benefit us further on in the future."
Robins has received more good news by completing the signing of Grimsby defender Nick Fenton, 28, on a two-year deal.
