Harry Redknapp wants Patrick Vieira to lead Portsmouth into Europe next season - and is ready to offer Inter Milan £4million for his services.Vieira is believed to have been told he has no future at Inter by new boss Jose Mourinho, who has taken over the reins from Roberto Mancini.
And Redknapp, who steered his troops to FA Cup success last season, believes the 32-year-old's experience of playing in the Champions League will be vital in Pompey's bid for UEFA Cup glory.
The Pompey boss hopes the presence of Vieira's former Arsenal team-mates Sol Campbell and Tony Adams at Fratton Park will be a major lure for the France international.
And the Daily Star claims the midfield battler will be offered a £100,000-a-week salary on the South Coast.
