Huddersfield Town manager Stan Ternent has acknowledged the goalkeeping talent he has inherited at the Galpharm Stadium. The Terriers chief is an admirer of current number one Matt Glennon, while England age-group internationals Simon Eastwood, 19, and Alex Smithies, 18, are also on the books.
Ternent told the Huddersfield Examiner: "What is certain is that we have two excellent prospects on the books, which is a fortunate position to be in.
"But Simon has never played in the first team while Alex has just a game and a half under his belt, so in that sense they are unproven.
"It's fair to say that you don't know how they will react until they are thrown into a first-team situation.
"I rate Matt Glennon very highly and I'm more than happy to have him as my senior goalkeeper."
