Boss Maurice Malpas reckons Swindon can take huge confidence from their draw against Steaua Bucharest in the first game of their tour.Swindon were within minutes of beating the 1986 European Cup winners but the Romanians' late rally earned them a 2-2 draw.

Malpas told the club's official website: "I was delighted with how we played out there. I told them before the game that it would be all about how hard we worked, and I was delighted with their attitude.

"All of our squad can take confidence from that.

"Steaua Bucharest are a Champions League side and their possession and movement was exceptional and we can take something from the game. We have to learn from that and take it into our own play.

"Away from home you can't expect to dominate the game but we can improve our mentality. We proved that we can do it and that has to continue into the league."
