Blackpool manager Simon Grayson has revealed he is looking to sign strikers after missing out on Aberdeen forward Lee Miller. The 24-year-old was a long-term transfer target for the Seasiders but chose to prolong his career in Scotland after signing a two-year contract extension at Pittodrie.
Grayson told the Blackpool Gazette: "He is a player we wanted before the January window and afterwards as well, and we think he is a decent player. The lad himself had to decide whether he wanted to leave the club or sign a new contract and he's decided to stay.
"It's not a problem. It means we move on to other names on our list and turn our attentions elsewhere."
Grayson continued: "But it's true that, yes, we do need strikers. With Keigan Parker leaving, Grant Holt going back to Nottingham Forest and Andy Morrell's situation still up in the air a little bit, I know it is an area we need to strengthen."
