Market frustrates Hatters boss

Wed 16 Jul, 06:00 PM

Stockport County boss Jim Gannon has admitted the transfer market has proved to be frustrating for the Hatters this summer. The Hatters missed out on the signing of midfielder David Perkins, while they have had several bids rejected for Morecambe's Carl Baker.

However, Gannon is hopeful that he can secure the arrivals of a few more players before the start of the League One season.

"You could use the word frustrating but I suppose it's to be expected," he told the club's official website.

"We want to attract those types of player to the club, but we have to be realistic and realise there are other clubs in for them or clubs are being unrealistic with the prices.

"I'm going to speak to two other players this week and the impression I get from them is that they want to play for the club."
