Chester and Leeds will be boosted by an early season cash bonus when their Carling Cup first round tie is televised live on Sky Sports.City will earn in the region of £85,000 when they host Gary McAllister's side on Tuesday August 12.
Owner Stephen Vaughan told the Liverpool Echo: "It's great news for us, and not just because of the financial bonus it brings.
"It will also give our young squad of players the opportunity to be seen on a larger stage."
