QPR striker Dexter Blackstock is excited about the prospect of working with new manager Iain Dowie after his arrival at Loftus Road.Dowie, installed as Luigi Di Canio's successor this week, carved out an impressive career as a robust target man in his playing days with Luton, West Ham, Southampton and Crystal Palace and Blackstock is eager to learn from him.
Blackstock told the club's official website: "The arrival of the new gaffer can only be a good thing for me and all the other forwards at the club.
"As a striker I'm always keen to learn new things and working with someone like Iain, who has played at the very highest level, can only be a positive step forward for me personally.
"He's certainly the right man for the job. I've spoken to Fitz (Hall) and Mikele (Leigertwood) who have played for him before, and I've also had a chat with Leon Best, who was with him at Coventry.
"They all spoke very highly of him and his reputation within the game speaks for itself."
