Crystal Palace have taken advantage of Luton's financial difficulties by signing striker Calvin Andrew for a cut-price fee.

The 21-year-old comes in to replace Clinton Morrison who has turned down the offer of a new contract at Selhurst Park.

"We've signed Calvin now, but it's nothing like the £400,000 that has been reported, it's nowhere near six figures," Palace boss Neil Warnock told the Croydon Advertiser.

"We are pleased to have him because we don't have anybody like that in the squad."

Luton had no option but to sell, they are currently in administration and will start the 2008/2009 season in League Two with -30 points.

Andrew has already made his Eagles debut, making an appearance during Palace's 4-3 victory over Aldershot on Thursday night.
