Maybury considering Aberdeen move

Fri 20 Jun, 04:00 PM

Leicester defender Alan Maybury has refused to rule out a permanent move to Scottish Premier League outfit Aberdeen. The defender's loan spell at Pittodrie has expired and he looked set for a return south of the border.

Maybury's contract at Leicester ends at the end of the month and he has had interest from other clubs.

But he would be willing to hear what Dons boss Jimmy Calderwood has to say when he returns from holiday next week.

Maybury told Record PM: "There's been some interest down south but there's still nothing definite.

"I'll speak to Jimmy when he gets back and see what he's thinking but you can't ever rule anything out.

"I enjoyed my spell at Aberdeen but I have to wait until my contract is up at Leicester before I can make any decisions."
