Bristol Rovers first team coach Paul Trollope has confirmed the club have rejected two bids for defender Danny Coles from Plymouth. The towering centre-back, who joined Rovers from Hull on a permanent deal in the January transfer window and put in some impressive performances during his 17 appearances for the Pirates.
But Trollope is keen to keep hold of the 26-year-old and told the club's official website: "We received a couple of offers from Plymouth that were not accepted.
"As far as we are concerned he's a big player for us, and is going to play a part in our future, and we don't want him to go anywhere.
"He's said he is happy here but, obviously, there is a part of him that wants to play in the Championship so it's up to us to persuade him that he can go there with us.
"The board have assured us that he doesn't have to be sold. We haven't received any fresh bids from Plymouth this week. Whether or not they make another bid is their business, but we want him to stay."

Every Club has a price for a player even Bristol Rovers, they will let Coles go to Plymouth in due time befor the new season at a price beleave me all Rovers Fans know it and understand why. Good on Rovers holding out for the max they can get out of Plymouth but they just will not pay more than the player is worth to them not Rovers price so for get black mail Rovers it is not on plymouth fan agb living in bristol
