Leicester youngster Lee Cox has signed his first professional contract with the club after impressing the City management team.The 18-year-old right-back has been rewarded with a one-year deal after impressing with his performances at both youth and reserve-team level last season.

Fellow defender Scott Garner signed a one-year contract earlier this week and academy manager Jon Rudkin told the club's official website: "Lee is another player who has worked extremely hard to get to this stage.

"He always gives 100 per cent and that has certainly stood him in good stead to date. This is a fantastic opportunity for him to progress further and make an impact at this club."

Cox joined Leicester as a 13-year-old and was part of the youth side that won the Academy Premier League title in 2007.
