Southampton midfielder Rudi Skacel has received a late call-up to the provisional Czech Republic squad ahead of Euro 2008.The 28-year-old former Hearts playmaker, who spent the second half of the season on loan with Hertha Berlin, was left out of coach Karel Bruckner's initial pool.

But left-winger Daniel Pudil has been forced to drop out after suffering a broken finger, paving the way for Skacel to join up with the squad at a training camp and push his claims for a place in the final party for next month's tournament.

The Czechs play friendlies against Lithuania and Scotland later this month.
