Coventry City manager Chris Coleman insists he is close to concluding a deal for former Liverpool defender Stephen Wright. The 28-year-old, who spent the first half of last season on loan at Stoke, is out of contract with Sunderland and has been training with Coventry throughout pre-season.
And Coleman believes the full-back will add some valuable experience to the Sky Blues defence and is confident a deal will be completed soon.
He told the club's official website: "He has done very well in pre-season, is experienced and knows the game like the back of his hand.
"He played for Liverpool. He has got experience, is a good player and a good professional.
"He is someone we are looking to sign and we are quite close to doing that."
