Celtic defender Gary Caldwell says it would be "great" to see out his career at Parkhead as he heads into the final year of his current deal.
Caldwell, 25, was signed by Gordon Strachan two years ago from Hibernian on a three-year contract which has just 12 months to run before it expires, and the Hoops are reportedly scouring the market for defensive reinforcements.
But the Scotland international said: "If I was to stay at Celtic all of my professional life I would think that was great.
"The situation is outside my control and it's up to other people to decide but I don't want to be anywhere else."
Celtic will have Artur Boruc, Shunsuke Nakamura and Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink available as they continue their pre-season campaign in Portugal against Middlesbrough on Tuesday night.
