Chester have admitted they have lost out on the signing of ex-Bradford midfielder Eddie Johnson, with the player choosing a League One club.The former Manchester United trainee and Chester-born 24-year-old was offered a two-year deal by Blues boss Simon Davies but has decided to sign for an as yet unnamed League One club.
Davies told the Chester Chronicle: "Eddie's decided to sign a shorter-term deal for a club in a higher league, which is his prerogative."
