Tykes boss Davey seals double deal

Barnsley boss Simon Davey has completed a double transfer swoop after signing Argentine Hugo Roberto Colace and Frenchman Mounir El Haimour.Colace, 24, joins from Newell's Old Boys, subject to international clearance.

The midfielder captained the 2003 Argentina Under-20 World Cup squad that also included Manchester United's Carlos Tevez and Liverpool's Javier Mascherano.

Colace spent last season on loan with Flamengo where he helped the Brazilian side to win the title.

Meanwhile, El Haimour, 27, who can operate as either a left winger or as a left-back, has signed a two-year deal at Oakwell after the Tykes agreed an undisclosed fee with Swiss side NE Xamax.
