Dominic Shimmin has become the latest casualty of the new regime at QPR after having his contract terminated by mutual consent.The 20-year-old defender, who joined Rangers from Arsenal in March 2005, made just four appearances in all competitions during an injury-hit spell at Loftus Road.

Since taking over from John Gregory in October, manager Luigi De Canio has also released Danny Cullip, Nick Ward, John Curtis, Tommy Doherty, Stefan Moore, Keiron St Aimie, Marc Nygaard, Pat Kanyuka and Shabazz Baidoo, while Daniel Nardiello has rejoined Barnsley on loan and Marcus Bignot signed for Millwall.
