Burnley boss Owen Coyle has confirmed the club remain interested in bringing Dundee midfielder Kevin McDonald to Turf Moor. The 19-year-old Scotland Under-21 international is just one of several players - including Scunthorpe's Martin Paterson - Coyle is currently monitoring.
The Clarets have reportedly had an initial bid of around £250,000 rejected for McDonald and Coyle is now weighing up whether to table another offer for the youngster.
"He is a player we like and there is an interest there," Coyle told the Lancashire Telegraph.
"He's a very talented young Scottish player who is only 19 but has still played close to 100 games.
"He's certainly a big, big talent."
