    • 88' Giggs' free kick hits the wall, and after a scramble in the box Sporting take their turn to break. Vukcevic's shot is blocked.
    • 86' United break forward with Anderson and red shirts are flooding forward. Ronaldo has it now and he's fouled right on the edge of the box! Almost a penalty, but the right decision.
    • 84' Tevez is a livewire for United at the moment, and he wins them another corner. Giggs' delivery is uncharacteristically vague, and it's cleared with relative ease.

    • 26' Kuszczak punches out a long ball into the box, but only as far as Moutninho, who slots it through to LEIDSON IN THE BOX... HE SLOTS IT INTO THE BACK OF THE NET!!! Disallowed for offside! Leidson looks stunned, and well he might do. Rpelays show he was onside when Moutinho played the ball in. United were very fortunate.
    • 20' Sporting full back recieves the ball on the right wing. He shapes up to shoot and IT FLIES IN AT THE NEAR POST PAST KUSZCZAK!! The Polish keeper was caught napping, and Old Trafford falls silent!
    • 18' O'Shea plays in to Ronaldo in the centre. The Portuguese lifts it through into the path of SAHA... He flashes his shot across goal! United beginning to turn the screw here.
    • 13' Ronaldo runs at the Sporting players to the edge of the box and SHOOTS... He fired a shot almost identical to Moutinho's effort past the Sporting keeper!
    • 12' Sporting move forward steadily. They knock it around confidently in front of the United defnce and it comes to JOAO MOUTINHO... His shot was well wide of Kuszczak's goal but a warning shot for United.
    • 8' Ronaldo teases his marker out on the wing. He tries a little piece of skill and gets it horribly wrong! Where's the icon for embarassed?
    • 5' United win a corner. Nani whips it in and it's headed clear by Moutinho. The ball comes bakc to Nani but he is still offside from taking the corner.
    • 4' A cagey start by both sides, seemingly feeling each other out before working out when to make calculated risks.
