- 67' Sinclair is fouled by Orr on the edge of the box, he gets a booking and his furious that his team-mates gave the ball away.
- 66' Adebola muscles his way into the box and he can score but an unbelievably good - and strong - slide tackle from Clint Hill to put it out for a corner. Fonte heads McIndoe's ball away and it drops to Carle at the edge of the box but Fonte deflects into the arms of Speroni.
- 65' Howard Webb makes his first mistake of the night after incorrectly viewing Trundle's chest control into the box as a handball. The angle was tough on Webb, to be fair, but it came off his chest.
- 64' Ball over the top frees Scannell who races onto it and lobs the keeper but Scannell was inches offside.
- 61' Great run by Scannell as Palace finally get a break on, he beats one man, then another and cuts inside to the box and he could be in but a superb slide tackle by McCombe and then McAllister comes across to put it out.
- 60' Incessant pressure now from the Robins, roared on by 20-thousand odd supporters, a bit of panic in the Palace box but they get it away. City are camped in the Palace half but Watson hurls himself into another tackle. Carey storms down the right wing to win a throw. All-action from the West Country boys now.
- 59' McIndoe takes the kick but he sends it far too deep, Elliott falls trying to keep the lost cause in play but it's out for a Palace throw.
- 58' Good run by Derry and he has a pop from the edge of the D but straight at Basso. City come forward, Noble to Trundle who shows good feet to beat his man but the shot is blocked and behind for a corner.
- 57' Trundle on the right, back to Orr who returns the favour and Trundle cuts inside Hill onto his left foot and swings over a great cross that is nicked away from Adebola. City need to get the ball to Trundle, who looks like the main man to make things happen for the Robins tonight.
- 56' McIndoe fouls Derry as Bristol City pile on the pressure, to be honest they're pretty unlucky to be behind tonight.
- 54' Great touch and pass from Trundle switches City from defending on the back foot to an attack, Orr on the right swings a cross in but an excellent take from Speroni.

- 18' City can't clear the corner properly, the second punch from Speroni drops to Orr who lofts it back in with interest but Webb has seen an infringement and Palace can relax.
- 17' Ball out wide from McIndoe to Carle on the overlap, the Aussie tries a cheeky shot from a crossing position but Lawrence blocks and it spins onto the roof of the net for a corner.
- 13' Watson wins the ball and slips it into Scannell who takes a great touch and smashes in a shot, but it's cleared, now Sinclair has it on the left, great feet to slip into space and he goes down but play-on says Webb! Palace wake up.
- 12' City continue to pile on the pressure after the free-kick is cleared, McIndoe winning a corner which Speroni totally misses but his defence help him out and Palace clear.
- 10' We've been waiting for 100 minutes of this play-off and it's happened - Lee Trundle earns himself a kick and his side a set-piece after some trademark showboating on the left wing.

- - Just to recap, the first leg was a humdinger of a game that saw City take the lead through defender and captain Louis Carey's first goal of the season. Palace equalised when Jose Fonte moved up front to win a penalty that Ben Watson converted, but in injury-time David Noble let rip with an absolute screamer that made the Robins favourites to progress to a likely final against Hull.
- - CRYSTAL PALACE TEAM NEWS: Two changes for Palace, defender Matt Lawrence returning after his recovery from a hernia op with Jose Fonte dropping to the bench, while young winger Victor Moses is replaced by fellow youngster Sean Scannell. Poor Jamie Scowcroft is ruled out after doing his hamstring in the first leg.
- - BRISTOL CITY TEAM NEWS: Understandably, boss Gary Johnson has made no changes from the side that won at Selhurst Park - even his son stays on the bench.
