- 90+2' And there's the final whistle. It could so easily have been double figures for Mark Hughes men on the night but it was a good performance and he'll be happy to be through to the next round. City could well start the Premier League flying with these early fixtures sharpening fitness.
- 90' Vassell is through on goal...HE'S ROUND THE KEEPER AND IT'S THERE...2-0. A long time coming but the scoreline reflecting the reality of the match a bit more now.
- 89' Nice flick from Evans to Elano. Good skill from the Brazilian but again his shot lacks the power to beat the keeper.
- 87' First glimpse of Ched Evans. He shoots from 20 yards but it's a comfortable save for Torgard.
- 86' Etuhu again showing he can run. Plenty of determination and persistence too. A promoising prospect though his crossing will have to improve.

- 82 There's not the continuous bombardment of the Streymur goal this half like we saw in the first. Perhaps owing to the fact City did get that goal to really kill the tie.
