24 Hours of Le Mans: 2022 race start time UK, qualifying results and how can I watch on TV?

This weekend, arguably motorsport’s most iconic race takes place with the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Toyota are seeking a fifth consecutive victory in the Hypercar category, but and are on pole ahead on France’s Alpine and American team Glickenhaus.

As ever, the historic 13-kilometres of Circuit de la Sarthe will host the event, featuring 62 cars across four categories from Hypercar to LMP2, LMGTE Pro and LMGTE Am.

British veteran Mike Conway is joined by former Formula One racer Kamui Kobayashi and Jose Maria Lopez in the lead Toyota, who won the last World Endurance Championship race in Spa after Alpine took the victory to open the 2022 campaign at Sebring.

The No8 Toyota driven by Brendon Hartley qualified on pole in Thursday’s Hyperpole session, with his best time clocking in at 3.28.322.

Kamui Kobayashi in the No7 Toyota followed while Alpine were just a couple of hundredths behind in the Hypercar class.

The No31 WRT took pole in LMP, with the No64 Corvette Racing top in the LMGTE Pro class and No61 AF Corse team on pole in LMGTE Am.
