Great to see Dallaglio bow out with a win, but a shame for Leicester and their new coach Marcleo Loffreda, who one hopes will be given at least next season to try and work his magic.     • 80+1 The final play of the match sees Leicester still pressing but the ball goes out and Wasps are champions! The big-game players do it again and Dallaglio bows out with a win! A cracking game of two halves, Wasps the better side but all credit to Leicester and coach Marcelo Loffreda for a superb second half performance. Wasps were tenth after round eight of the season. What a run for the Londoners.
    • 80' WASPS REPLACEMENT: Palmer on for Reddan.
    • 79' Erinle spins out of a tackle, now Mauger, and Kayzer on the ball, he spins out of two challenges and bursts in, there's a penalty advantage to Wasps, the ref asks if they want it and they eventually say yes.
    • 77' Dangerous kick from the line-out and can Van Gisbergen get there? He can. Wasps survive.
    • 76' Varndell with a great mazy run, cutting inside and getting away, the tackle finally comes in but Leicester still have it, Mauger now, Ellis and Kay working and a penalty has been signalled but the advantage is given with Varndell on the right, over the top and it's a penalty. Pulling off the ball, Goode goes for the corner and the pack come forward for the line-out.
    • 73' Now Leicester have a penalty, right between the posts and Goode can give them hope... but oh dear, that is shocking. He hammered it wide, somehow. Talk about crumbling under pressure.
    • 71' Penalty to Wasps again, can Van Gisbergen compensate for the earlier miss... it's really far out, can he do it? Yes he can - only just, barely an inch in that, 26-16 and Wasps get the breathing space they wanted.
    • 69' Wasps could be in here, Reddan to Flutey and wide to Lewsey but Varndell and Mauger pile in on him to save Tigers.
    • 68' Oh dear, Van Gisbergen misses, off the outside of the post but still in play, taken by Croft who sprints away and is brought to ground.
    • 67' Penalty to Wasps on the centre-right, some breathing space for the leaders, and Lawrence Dallaglio comes off for the last time as a professional rugby player, Hart on in his place, and look at that. A standing ovation from the Wasps and Leicester fans, Loz fights back the tears as he sits down on the sidelines.
    • 65' Up in the air and Erinle could be in but great play under pressure from Van Gisbergen to claim. Leicester sense blood but Sackey and Croft collide off-the-ball and Wasps get the penalty.
    • 62' It's played out quickly and Ellis is free and he wriggles in on the right hand corner to touch down and Leicester are right back in it!! What pace to skin Haskell, Tuilagi was a major distraction at the back of that scrum, and it's 23-16, unconverted though.
    • 61' Tigers push forward, the drive Wasps away like a knife through butter and they're over but Wasps just about survive by keeping it above ground. Five yard scrum.
    • 61' WASPS SUB: Worsley on for Ibanez temporarily. Corry is debating with the ref over his desire to use the scrum as a weapon, but they have to be uncontested due to Wasps being short for now.
    • 60' Erinle out wide to Tuilagi, constant pressure from Leicester now who are playing like champions now, inside but Wasps give away a penalty which Goode is going to punt to touch.
    • 57' TIGERS SUBS: Stankovich and Herring off for Ayerza and Croft.
    • 56' Kick into the corner, wonderful from Goode, superb touch across from Murphy and Lewsey can't get there AND VARNDELL PUTS IT DOWN IN THE CORNER! The season's top try scorer gets on the scoresheet in the final. 23-11, Goode unable to convert from the angle.

    • 53' Ellis with a delightful chip into the short side, and he's over and Ellis is in to score but Sackey with a great defensive tip away and the momentum takes it behind! Great rugby all round.
    • 51' Hipkiss has an eye injury, more on that when we get it...
    • 50' Well, it says it all, a good kick from range but it spins off the outside of the post and away. That went in for Wasps in the first half. And, to compound matters, Wasps break and they could be in, Haskell with a great unload, then Shaw and they're right in the left corner with Waters and it's a line-out in a dangerous position.
    • 49' Penalty to Leicester, not moving away, Goode looked towards the corner then checked himself and is going for the three points.
    • 45' Leicester with a chance seven metres out... they go for the try though and almost force it through but just too far ahead of Haskell to even get a boot on it surging down the left. The Tigers know that kicks aren't going to get them anywhere and are taking risks for tries.
    • 44' Ibanez almost gets through with Lewsey in support but Tuilagi read it and comes across.
    • 43' Great drive from the line-out, Ibanez to Palmer, Haskell is free on the left and he can score here but just short of the line. Scrum Leicester.
    • 42' Dallaglio drives the scrum forward and wins the penalty, standing up. Leicester's scrum is usually tough as nails but Wasps are all over them today.

    • 40' Reddan with a kick that results one more line-out before the break. Last chance of the half for Tigers, but Wasps turn it over and the whistle goes, Wasps in control.
    • 38' It's just not going Leicester's day as, even though he shanked a straightforward kick, Van Gisbergen maintains his 100% record today as it slips in off the inside of the right-hand post.
    • 37' Crane to Ellis, Leicester coming forward but they lose the ball with Lewsey and Dallaglio winning it back and Wasps break, Ibanez goes wide but perhaps too late, Waters steps inside as Leicester had time to get back, shame as Sackey was in loads of space. Still with Wasps though and Flutey finds Lewsey who's lost his man Herring and sprints through for the try between the posts! Superb flowing rugby, a great time to score, Wasps running away with it and from a turnover too.
    • 35' Van Gisbergen converts the penalty, 16-6 now as Wasps stretch the lead and ask some serious questions of Marcelo Loffreda, who will have a tough half-time talk.
    • 34' Penalty to Wasps and there's a bit of argy-bargy. The referee calls Corry over to have a word, pointing out that Kay has been holding a lot on the Wasps right and that next time there'll be a card.
    • 32' Waldouck almost breaks through the middle, he's held up temporarily but Wasps still have it, Reddan to Palmer, now Shaw but there's an accidental offside and Tigers get the put in.
    • 30' Penalty to Leicester just to the right, fairly straightforward for Goode who continues the clean-kicking theme and pulls it back to 13-6.
    • 28' Great catch from Murphy under pressure but Lewsey clatters him, Ellis now, sweet quick ball to Tuilagi who surges down the right and BOOF!! he batters off the tackle from Reddan, who's flat on his backside to the delight of the crowd. Ouch.
    • 27' Scrum to Leicester, Wasps under pressure but winning all the key challenges, size matters right now as they've got significant weight advantage over the Tigers pack
    • 25' Hoofed clear by Flutey, back for Murphy with a superb high ball and he runs onto it and almost does Van Gisbergen, who drops it but knocks it back and out to touch for a line-out to the Tigers. Great play from Murphy.
    • 24' Great claim by Haskell on the restart and Reddan hits it long but straight into Goode who comes forward, now Ellis, Herring runs at Wasps and Leicester's pack do some great work to get right in the corner.
    • 23' Penalty to Wasps now, some way out but fairly central... calm and composed from Van Gisbergen to extend Wasps' lead to 13-3.
    • 21' Shaw grabs the ball from White, who almost completed the turnover, as Wasps continue to pile the pressure on... released by Ibanez to Reddan who spreads it left, he gets it back and tries a little run himself but a steal from Leicester and Ellis sends a brilliant long one clear but great play by Van Gisbergen to pick it up on the touchline, skinning Varndell and getting it away. Great running from Varndell to get on Van Gisbergen and Sackey though.
    • 20' Flutey with a brilliant sidestep to race clear but he slips and Murphy gets back... but it's stil with Wasps as Sackey runs through the middle, he's held up but it's still all Wasps now...
    • 19' Good clearance from Goode into touch. The forwards did their job in the scrum to allow the kick.
    • 18' Taken quickly and the ball is loose just by the right corner, Varndell almost caught out but gets away with it after a knock-on from Reddan who tapped it to himself and almost ran clear.
    • 17' Blood replacement for Leicester, Mauger has to come off after taking one on the face in that melee, Erinle on. Oddly Hipkiss and Murphy are fine despite seeming to be worst-off in that.
    • 16' Wasps pretty much seizing the moment here, Leciester on the back foot as Sackey feeds Dallaglio who drives through into the 22, Wasps are toying with them now as they look wide to Vickery... a collision sees Hipkiss and Murphy flat out, play is stopped and Leicester can take a breather.
    • 13' The angle isn't easy for Van Gisbergen, quite acute on the right... but a superb kick, 10-3.
    • 12' Wasps are driving in, it's a bit messy with an offside called on Leicester... great momentum from Wasps and driven over by Rees for the try! Stankovich just let him through there, 8-3.
    • 11' Wasps on the right after a turnover and a typical run from Sackey, it's worked inside by Reddan to Rees, who turns and finds Reddan who sidesteps and bursts through, support from Ibanez and while it dies a bit it's still on with Vickery now, support from Dallaglio, Shaw driving in now... in phase seven of this play...
    • 9' Goode makes no mistake with the penalty, 3-3.
    • 8' Well, Leciester were guaranteed the three points there but got greedy, they get another shot at it though with another penalty.
    • 7' Clever kick from Goode forces the fumble from Van Gisbergen and Leicester get the penalty straight in front of the posts... they take it quickly to go for the try but Wasps are bundling back to the left corner and Leicester have to work it again.
    • 5' Easy kick for Van Gisbergen, straight down the middle and Wasps lead.
    • 4' Another poor kick straight down Sackey's throat, he rushes forward and brushes off Herring as Wasps get some more of the ball, it goes wide for Reddan, there's an advantage being played just inside the 22... up and under, claimed by Leicester and the penalty is awarded. Wasps to kick from 15 metres, Van Gisbergen steps up.
    • 3' Ball with Leciester, Ellis back to Goode outside his 22, kicking for the right corner but gobbled up by Wasps, quick break and into the right from Flutey but Varndell is quick enough to intercept.
    • 1' Goode with the kick, Van Gisbergen takes it under no pressure. Not a great kick by Goode, too long and letting Flutey off the hook.
    • 1 Match undwerway! Poor start for Riki Flutey, messing up the kick-off and it's scrum down for the Tigers.
    • - LEICESTER TEAM NEWS: The only change to the match 22 from the semi-final win over Gloucester sees France A hooker Benjamin Kayser replace George Chuter on the bench.
