Kerrs miss out at Skate Canada
Scottish siblings Sinead and John Kerr missed out on victory to home favourites Vanessa Crone and Paul Poirier at Skate Canada in Ontario.
The two pairs had gone into the free programme tied for the lead but Sinead lost balance on the exit of a difficult lift to hand the Canadian duo victory with a total of 154.42 points.
The seven-time British champions scored 149.80 and the bronze went to 2009 world junior champions Madison Chock and Greg Zuerlein from the United States.
"It's a hard lift for us. Something went wrong with the timing. We were off," said Sinead Kerr.
Skate Canada was the second of six events in the ISU Grand Prix series. Skaters compete at two events with the top six points-earners going through to the Grand Prix final in Beijing in December.
The Kerrs return to action in Moscow in November.
