Transfers: Garmin-Cervelo takes shape

The newly merged Garmin-Cervelo team have now announced 12 cyclists that will be in their 2011 squad.

Roger Hammond, Heinrich Haussler , Andreas Klier , Brett Lancaster, Daniel Lloyd, Gabriel Rasch and the already announced Thor Hushovd will join the team after spending this season with Cervelo.

They will join current Garmin riders Tyler Farrar, Ryder Hesjedal, Christian Vande Velde, David Zabriskie and Dan Martin in the new outfit.

Former Tour de France winner, Carlos Sastre, who has been riding for Cervelo for the last two seasons, announced last month that he will quit the team for Geox, the new sponsors for Mauro Gianetti's Footon-Servetto team.

Lampre have confirmed that they have signed former Tour of Slovenia winner Przemyslaw Niemiec for the 2011 season.

The Pole has been riding for Miche-Silver Cross this campaign.

Meanwhile, Cadel Evans's team BMC Racing have announced six new signings with Belgians Yannick Eyssen and Greg Van Avermaet; Italians Manuel Quinziato and Ivan Santaromita; Frenchman Amael Moinard; and Swiss Johann Tschopp all signing with the American outfit.
