Bundesliga - Traesch certain of title challenge
Christian Traesch believes Wolfsburg can turn things around and challenge for the title this season.
The versatile midfielder joined from Stuttgart in the summer and, having been named captain, has overseen a poor start to the season, with the Wolves losing three of their four opening matches.
The 2008 Bundesliga champions had a terrible 2010-11 season, narrowly avoiding relegation, but Traesch is convinced an upturn in fortunes is only round the corner.
"The success (boss Felix Magath) has had with every club he has worked at recently speaks for itself," Traesch, 22, told the Stuttgarter Nachrichten newspaper.
"Under him, I can see good chances of winning a title with Wolfsburg.
"The coach has put together a brand new team. There are 27 players and it is important that we get to know each other quickly."
