The 30-year-old has been in and out of the Eagles' first team this term and so far has six goals to his name.
Easter has received plenty of praise for his workrate, but knows strikers are ultimately judged on goals.
"I can run until the cows come home, but at the end of the day I want to score goals and that is the top and bottom of it," he said.
"I know people appreciate the workrate, but for me it's about scoring goals and when I'm not scoring I'm not happy.
"It has been a test of character, but I have been around for a long time now, so I can deal with that. I have had an okay season, nothing more than that."
