Premier League - Paper Round: Hulk agrees incredible Chelsea deal

European champions Chelsea are set to revamp their forward line in the summer and have reportedly already agreed terms with Porto's Hulk.

Porto's Hulk de Sousa celebrates his goal against Braga in the Portuguese Premier League - 0

The Times says that the Brazilian star will earn £7 million a year at Stamford Bridge over four seasons and is willing to put in a transfer request to push through the move that works out at a cool £135,000-a-week.

The paper says: "Chelsea are yet to agree a fee with Porto and are thought to have set a ceiling of about £30 million for the transfer - taking the total cost of the deal to £58 million, as well as a lucrative bonus scheme - although Porto remain adamant that they will not countenance his departure for less than £38 million."

Hulk has also cast doubt over his future at Porto, telling Lancenet: "I will always continue to work hard and keep my feet on the ground, regardless of whether I stay at Porto. I have won many titles in the past four years at Porto, and I think that I have a great relationship with everyone. If the time has come to move on, I'll do so with a good feeling. I have enjoyed a great time here. I'm sure that they will understand the motives behind my decision if I leave."

Chelsea plan to play Hulk and Belgian star Eden Hazard either side of Fernando Torres in a 4-2-3-1 formation that would also incorporate Juan Mata.

Hazard has already said he will sign for the club in the summer and the Times said that a fee of £32.3m has been agreed with his current club Lille and that the playmaker is ready to pen a five-year contact worth about £100,000-a-week after tax.

While Torres looks like he is going to be backed with these new creative signings the Times does also note that the Blues: "are also contemplating moves for Radamel Falcao, the prolific Atletico Madrid and Colombia forward and a former team-mate of Hulk in Portugal, and Edinson Cavani, the Napoli and Uruguay striker, who is valued at about £40 million."

If either player is signed then that would put Torres' future back in doubt.

One former Chelsea striker who could return to the Premier League is Nicolas Anelka according to the Daily Mail.

Tottenham are among the clubs showing an interest in the 33-year-old who is keen to return from an ill-fated spell with Shanghai Shenhua, but much will depend on whether the Chinese side ask for a fee. West Ham and QPR are also keen on the former Chelsea striker.

Spurs have also made an eleventh-hour bid to sign Robert Green after West Ham United said that the goalkeeper could leave the club. Queens Park Rangers were thought to be in pole position to sign the England goalkeeper, who failed to agree a deal to extend his contract, worth about £28,000 a week, at Upton Park beyond this month (Daily Telegraph).

Meanwhile, Gareth Bale has gone on holiday to decide on his Tottenham future amid doubts whether Harry Redknapp is staying at White Hart Lane. Manchester City and Barcelona are ready to pounce should he decide to leave. (Daily Mirror)

Graeme Jones has turned down the chance to manage Swansea – and the club now look set to target Blackpool boss Ian Holloway instead. The managerless Premier League outfit plan to make one last bid to make Jones - No.2 to Roberto Martinez at Wigan - change his mind. But Swans chairman Huw Jenkins has admitted he thinks there is little chance of Jones making a U-turn and he is understood to have turned his attentions to Holloway instead. (Daily Star)

Matt Jarvis is wanted by both Fulham and Stoke according to the Daily Mirror but Wolves have put an £8m price tag on the left-winger. (Daily Mirror)

And finally, it looks like Colombia international Carlos Sanchez will not be moving to Reading. The defensive midfielder is a free agent after his deal with French side Valenciennes ran out but his demands of £40,000-a-week is too much for the Royals. (Daily Mirror)
