GB women take team pursuit gold
Great Britain's women's pursuit team, including Paralympian Sarah Stoney, took the gold medal at the track cycling World Cup in Cali, Colombia.
The British ladies recorded an impressive time of 3 minutes and 21.835 seconds, almost a full four seconds faster than runners-up New Zealand who clocked in at 3 minutes and 25.618 seconds.
The Kiwi women came into the race off the back of a formidable showing at last month's Oceania championships, setting the second fastest time in history.
But Great Britain sent a powerful message to one of their biggest threats at next summer's 2012 Olympics on home turf in London by taking the half-indoor, half-outdoor track by storm in the face of difficult windy conditions in the final.
