Bundesliga - Busy Wolfsburg make it seven
Wolfsburg's hectic start to the winter transfer window continues apace with the news that the club have signed another three players.
FC Sion striker Giovanni Sio has signed for the Bundesliga club on a three-and-a-half-year contract although the transfer fee is undisclosed.
Sio, who is eligible to play for both France and Ivory Coast, scored 17 goals in 48 league games for Sion.
“Giovanni Sio is a highly talented attacking player who has forced himself into the limelight over the past two years," coach Felix Magath told the club's official website.
"He is physically a strong runner and dangerous shooting from distance. He can play as a centre forward or come through as a central midfielder behind the front men.
"Physically he is in good condition. We now have to work him into the Bundesliga.”
Brazilian defender Felipe Lopes and Ivorian midfielder Ibrahim Sissoko also signed for the club on Thursday.
They join Vieirinha, Slobodan Medojevic, Ferhan Hasani and Petr Jiracek in joining Wolfsburg this week.
