Leeds manager Neil Warnock has expressed his admiration for Argentinian striker Luciano Becchio.
Becchio signed from Spanish club Merida for an undisclosed fee in August 2008, but struggled to find his best form for large parts of last season following surgery to repair a damaged hamstring last summer.
However, Warnock believes the 28-year-old can can improve on his displays in the new campaign, saying: "I'm a big fan of Becchio. I think he can be a lot better player than what I've seen and that's what I'll be working on in pre-season."
Warnock added: "That's why I decided to put Billy Paynter on the transfer-list, because I feel if I do bring another striker in, he needs to be slightly different to what those two are.
"We're looking at pace in different areas and power as well. It's just trying to get the right recipe on the ins and outs."
