Premier League - Vote for the Goal of the Week
Amongst the 29 goals at the weekend there were some memorable strikes.
And this season we're letting you have your say about which goal you think was the pick of the bunch.
So sit back and enjoy the goals (video will start automatically in the picture box - UK only), then click in the box on the right of the homepage to vote for the best strike of the weekend. We'll publish the results of the poll later this week.
The goals, in no particular order, are:
Yakubu (Blackburn 1st goal) v Swansea
The first was the best of Yakubu's four strikes against Swansea. Gael Givet played a neat one-two with the Nigerian down the left, and then showed good pace to get into the area and cross for the striker whose first-time finish arrowed into the top right hand corner.
City scored five against Norwich but it needed a moment of brilliance to break the deadlock and one came on 32 minutes when a trademark bounding run from the rampaging Micah Richards saw the right-back cut the ball inside to Aguero. He was only eight or nine yards out but the Argentine had his back to goal and a sea of defenders to negotiate, which he did with a superb drag-back and shimmy before flicking a low finish through the bodies and past John Ruddy into the bottom left corner.
Nicklas Bendtner, roundly jeered by the home fans, released Stephane Sessegnon with an audacious backheel chip, and the Benin midfielder slipped the ball wide to the overlapping left-back Richardson, who unleashed a vicious, swerving drive that conned Hennessey to fly inside the near post.
Adam Johnson (Manchester City) v Nowich
Johnson added a fifth in injury time for City in their romp against Norwich, passing the ball into the net from the edge of the box, as City continued to annihilate opponents in what looks like a romp to the title.
Leroy Lita (Swansea) v Blackburn
Lita rose at the far post to head Mark Gower’s floating cross into the bottom right corner to level matters for Swansea in a game they eventually lost 4-2. It was an excellent cross from Gower and one expertly dispatched by former Middlesbrough striker Lita.
