Premier League - City set for Zabaleta appeal

Manchester City look set to appeal against the red card Pablo Zabaleta was shown during Wednesday night's goalless draw with Arsenal.
Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna were both dismissed in the last minute of the Emirates Stadium encounter after the pair clashed by the touchline.
The Argentina star looked unfortunate at the time and TV replays appeared to back up that view.
So, facing a three-match ban that would rule him out of matches against Leicester, Wolves and Aston Villa, it seems certain City will appeal ahead of the 5pm deadline.
"We are a little bit disappointed with that decision," said assistant manager Brian Kidd.
"We are looking at it and will make a decision about whether to appeal before the deadline. It was very harsh."
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger revealed that the Gunners would not be appealing against Sagna's sending off for his part in the incident.
"I have seen it again and there is no way we can appeal," Wenger told the club's official website.
"For me it is a red card and we have to accept it. Bacary lost his temper and had too strong a reaction. He acknowledges that he should have kept control. We will not appeal."
France international Sagna will now miss Saturday's FA Cup third round against Leeds United, the Carling Cup semi-final first leg against Ipswich Town and the Premier League trip to West Ham. He will be available again for the visit of Wigan Athletic on January 22.PA Sport
