Olsson returns to training
Johan Olsson's cross-country career is back on track after the Olympic champion returned to full training following serious injury.
Olsson sustained a slipped disc which affected his right shoulder - an injury he felt could have ended his career.
But he has now rejoined with Swedish cross-country skiing team and is back on the track.
”For a while, I was quite sure that I had to stop. Now I have at least a little bit of hope to continue as a skier,” Olsson told Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet.
He added in an entry on his blog: ”I’ve felt surprisingly good despite the weeks I have lost.
“The most important thing is that nerve damage in my neck feels better, giving me the opportunity to hit the road to take me back for real. I still feel some little pain during exercises. The most important thing is that it is not persistent pain."
