Ashes winner Chris Tremlett is confident he will remain injury-free once he has completed his rehabilitation after a back operation.
The 30-year-old had to leave England's Test tour of the United Arab Emirates, where they lost 3-0 to Pakistan, on the eve of the second match in Abu Dhabi in January.
He underwent surgery on his return home, but told Sky Sports News on Friday: "I don't think there will be a recurrence, if I can work hard and get my bowling in shape."
The Surrey seamer, who had missed three Tests in the second half of last summer and then successive one-day international series home and away against India because of the same back problem, returned to England colours only in time for the start of the UAE tour.
As for adding to his 11 Test and 15 ODI caps, already spread over almost seven years, Tremlett is first intent on proving himself again for Surrey.
"It's obviously a setback when you get an injury and are out for a period of time," he said.
"I'm going to have to work hard to get back in."
