LCR Honda team boss Lucio Cecchinello said he was impressed with Moto2 champion Stefan Bradl after the German made his MotoGP testing debut with the squad at Valencia this week.
Bradl has been tipped for a ride with the LCR squad for 2012, and had two full days of running with the team in Spain.
"We have concluded two positive days of testing with Stefan and I was impressed by his skills and the way he studies the bike," said Cecchinello.
"He gave us very precise technical feedback, [especially] if we consider it was his first run on a MotoGP bike.
"Now we will proceed our negotiations with our sponsors and Honda to fix our 2012 programme in the next hours."
Bradl said he had enjoyed the experience and liked working with the team.
"First of all I want to thank Honda and the LCR team for this great opportunity," said the German. "I really enjoyed riding a MotoGP bike and I was impressed by Lucio's team's know-how and high level.
"We did a very good job together exploring the potential of this bike. I learnt a lot from this experience and I want to thank everybody for their support."
