Lee Croft faces a struggle to play again for St Johnstone this season after tests showed he has torn his hamstring.

The on-loan Derby winger limped off in the first half of St Johnstone's goalless Clydesdale Bank Premier League clash with Inverness on Saturday.

Croft confirmed on his Twitter account that he had torn the muscle but pledged to do everything possible to return before the SPL season ends on May 13.

The 26-year-old has scored three goals in 13 games since joining fourth-placed Saints in January.
