Swindon midfielder Alan McCormack believes the club's star players will stay while ever Paolo Di Canio is still in charge.
The Italian led the Robins to the League Two title this season as well as a Wembley final in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.
While interest in his services is expected, McCormack expects Di Canio and his players to remain in Wiltshire next season.
"I don't think the gaffer will ever allow the board to sell his players so I think, when the start's there and you've got a manager so defiant in keeping his players, it goes a long way," he told the Swindon Advertiser.
"We need to keep our main players at this club and if we can do that we can get better, and I'm sure the gaffer's got players he wants to bring in.
"If we can keep the main strengths here and add a bit more quality, we've got a great chance next year."
