The future of Bordeaux forward Yohan Gourcuff will be decided by August, according to Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas.
Lyon are adamant that they will not bid above the 15 million euros (£13 million) mark for the France international, with Bordeaux holding out for a bigger fee.
But despite Bordeaux's reluctance to sell, Aulas believes a deal can be done, with Gourcuff expected to leave the club this summer.
"There is no progress except indirectly," Aulas said. "At the moment, we stick to what Bordeaux have said.
"August will bring the answers that everyone asks and we shall have to wait until then."
Aulas's other priority this summer is to secure long-term deals with Cris and Jeremy Toulalan at the club.
"Cris will, hopefully, sign a new contract. We will offer him an extension of at least a year, maybe two. It will be extended I am sure.
"It is a symbol of strength, ambition and professionalism for us to make this happen."
