Bundesliga - Neuer expects to stick with Schalke
Manuel Neuer gave Schalke another reason to be cheerful after their 1-0 win at Mainz on Sunday, dismissing reports that he has decided to move to Bayern Munich, and revealing that he expects to still be a Schalke player next year.
The German international goalkeeper was instrumental once again at the Bruchweg Stadion, saving Andre Schurrle's 72nd-minute penalty to help Schalke move four points clear of the relegation zone.
It was Schalke's third win in eight days, and 24-year-old Neuer was quick to address the transfer speculation surrounding him after the match.
"I've had no offers from Bayern," said Neuer, whose current contract with the Royal Blues is due to expire in 2012.
"I expect that I will play for Schalke next season. As soon as Schalke make me an offer, I'll talk to [them] first."
