Bundesliga - Villa target Dortmund's Weidenfeller
Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund face a battle to hold onto Roman Weidenfeller, with Aston Villa reportedly keen to secure the shot-stopper's signature.
The 30-year-old has been in scintillating form this season, keeping eight clean-sheets in 16 games as Dortmund eked out an 11-point cushion at the top of the Bundesliga.
However, the 30-year-old former Germany under-21 international is only contracted to Dortmund until the end of the season, prompting a host of European sides - reportedly including Premier League duo Aston Villa and Bolton Wanderers - to signal their interest.
Weidenfeller moved to Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer in 2002, after struggling to break into the first team at former club FC Kaiserslautern, and has since made 203 appearances for the Ruhr-based club.
